Oreo Heaven

My husband loves dessert. So, in an effort to satisfy his sweet tooth, I have been baking up all different kinds of desserts. Needless to say, I have now acquired a sweet tooth of my own. These Oreo Truffles will not only satisfy your chocolate craving, they will save you time in the kitchen. These are a cinch to make and there is no baking required! This recipe yields about 30-36 truffle balls. Beware, however, they somehow disappear in one sitting.

The Recipe:

Ingredients:
1 (16 oz.) package OREO sandwich cookies
1 (8 oz.) package PHILADELPHIA cream cheese, softened.
1 (8 oz.) box BAKER'S semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted. (I've used BAKER'S white chocolate too. Yum!)

1. Crush 3 cookies to fine crumbs in food processor. Set aside for topping.
Crush the remaining cookies to fine crumbs and place in a medium sized bowl. Add the cream cheese and mix until well blended. (I use my hands and mush it all together.) Roll mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter. (I just use a small cookie scoop.)

2. Drizzle or dip balls in chocolate and place on a sheet of parchment paper. Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.

3. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.

Our Family

We decided to finally get our own family blog! This will be a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. Speaking of family, here are our new (and improved) family photos! We welcomed our precious little boy into our family just over 7 months ago. He is the highlight of our lives. Who knew you could love someone so much? Anyway, we are as happy as can be and are excited to be a part of the "blogging" world! We hope you will take some time to enjoy our neck of the woods!
